What are the benefits of riding 30 minutes a day

If a rider loses 8kg within reason at age 35 and the power stays the same, it can achieve an increase of 30 watts of power for the same weight. 30 watts of power is enough to offset the 10 watts of power that comes with age. At age 45, it's 20 watts higher than it was at age 35 itself. In other words, consistent physical exercise can completely overcome the depletion of function caused by age.

Many research institutes have confirmed through experiments that exercise can increase life expectancy. In a Norwegian scientific research project called the 'Oslo study', recruited 15,000 people for 39 years of research. The study found that exercising six days a week for 30 minutes a day can add up to five years to a person's life than those who don't exercise. After eight years of tracking and analysing data from more than 400,000 people, Wen Qi-Bang, a professor at the Taiwan Institute of Health, said the study found that 15 minutes of exercise a day can reduce mortality by 14 per cent and can lead to an average of three more years of life.

Exercise can go some way to counteracting the negative effects of overeating (although you will still gain weight). A study conducted three years ago in the UK by the University of Bath showed that two groups of test subjects ate one and a half times as much as usual each day, but one group insisted on exercising for 45 minutes a day, while the other group did no exercise at all. After a week, the group that insisted on exercising gained an average of 1.1kg, while the other group gained an average of 2.7kg.

So sticking to 30 minutes of cycling a day has many benefits. There are stages stationary bike, smart indoor bike, comfortable stationary bike and so on, choose one to take home and ride every day.
